Handmade Electronic Music

I’m Zhenya — I go by thecatrave. I’m from Minsk, Belarus. Grew up between brutalist blocks, foggy air, and the sound of Prodigy on cassette. My earliest musical memories were tapes of Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Limp Bizkit, Jamiroquai — break-heavy stuff that just stuck. There were also crazy PlayStation games jungle and dnb soundtracks, West Coast rap bleeding through from the other side, and the kind of slow, melancholic music that made sense in a gray post-Soviet world. Molchat Doma are from the same city — that should say enough.
My style moves between breakbeat, UK garage, lo-fi house, jungle, and IDM. I’m not trying to reinvent anything. It’s about chasing a feeling — tension, groove, emotion — shaped by all those early sounds and the way they’ve evolved.

It took me about 4 months to put this set together — from the first idea to picking tracks, changing my mind a hundred times, and slowly figuring out what actually feels right. But I really put my heart into it.
In the end this set represents me as a DJ and the vibe I bring to the function 👉👈 Includes 30 tracks I found and loved over the past year. Hope you enjoy ❤️
